The
Nation Info Panel
You
can view information about any nation on the map by using the Info
action. Simply select the Info action and click on the game
map in a land area occupied by the nation you would like to learn
about. You can also view information about any nation that wrote
a chat message, by clicking on the black dot to the left of the
nation's name in the chat log.

Info
about a very primitive nation.
The
Nation Info panel is pictured above, displaying the information
about a very primitive nation. The nation's name, level, number
of points, number of republics, and list of allies is displayed.
To
the right of these is the "Add to Chat List" button. Press
this button to add the nation to the list of nations that your nation
speaks to via chat (See the section describing chat
for more information). If this nation is already in your chat list,
the button will instead read "Remove from Chat List",
and pressing it will remove this nation from your nation's chat
list.
Below
this is a button labeled "Block from Chat". Pressing this
button will cause your nation to receive no more chat messages from
this nation. This can be very handy in helping you to ignore chat
"spam" from a troublesome player. If you've already blocked
this nation, then the button will instead read "Cancel Chat
Block", and pressing it will allow your nation to once again
receive chat messages from this nation.
Beneath
this is the "Send Invitation to Unite" button. If you
press this button, the nation will be issued an invitation to unite
with your nation. If they accept this invitation, all of their member
players, land, points, fortification points, credits and prize winnings
will become part of your nation. This is an excellent way to bring
together several players under one nation, because the effort that
those players put into building their own nations isn't lost. All
of the results of that effort are brought with these players as
they unite with your nation.
If you have already invited this nation to unite with your own,
then this button will instead read "Cancel Invitation to Unite".
You may then press this button to withdraw your invitation.
Below
these is a list of technologies that have been developed by the
nation. You can click on the name of any of these technologies to
view a description of that technology.

Incomplete
info about a superior nation.
The
information displayed in the Nation Info panel represents intelligence
gathered by your own nation's spies and informants. As such, it
is more difficult to obtain accurate information about a nation
more advanced than your own, than it is to learn about a nation
less advanced that your own.
If
your nation is not capable of collecting adequate information about
another nation, that nation's description in the Nation Info panel
will be incomplete. You may not be able to determine the nation's
level, number of points, or list of allies. Some of the nation's
more advanced technologies may also remain unknown to you.
The
ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of rival nations
can be very important in determining how to attack them, and who
to form alliances with. You can increase your nation's ability to
gather intelligence about other nations by developing and purchasing
technologies that increase your nation's Intelligence attribute.
And you can make it more difficult for other nations to spy on your
nation by gaining technologies that increase your nation's Counter
Intelligence attribute.
List
of Members
At
the bottom of the Nation Info panel is a list of each of the nation's
member players. If a player is currently playing, their entry will
include the word "online".
