Who operates the service
Defend & Conquer is operated under the Delta Desktops Gaming Studio name. For privacy questions and requests, contact contact@defendandconquer.co.uk. The operator’s full legal identity and registered contact details should be confirmed before public launch.
Where this policy applies
This policy covers the Defend & Conquer website, player accounts, multiplayer game servers, Windows desktop client, Android app and iOS app. Platform providers and payment or advertising partners may process information under their own notices.
Information we process
- Account and profile details, such as usernames, email addresses, nation membership and account settings.
- Gameplay information, including nations, territories, research, purchases, rewards, rankings, player actions and server events.
- Player communications, including public chat, private or nation messages, reports and moderation records.
- Security and technical information, potentially including IP addresses, connection history, device and installation identifiers, operating system and hardware details, session and anti-abuse records.
- Purchase, subscription and payout information, such as payment references, entitlements, purchase history and payout contact details. Payment processors may handle card or other financial information directly.
- Advertising and reward information where advertising is enabled, including ad events, reward claims and identifiers used by applicable ad providers.
- Website usage and technical records, including necessary session cookies and server logs.
Why we use information
We use relevant information to operate accounts and multiplayer gameplay; deliver purchased and earned entitlements; provide support; prevent cheating, abuse, duplicate or unauthorised sessions; moderate communications; administer eligible prize claims; maintain security; meet applicable legal obligations; and improve reliability. The appropriate UK GDPR lawful basis depends on the processing: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent where required.
Who receives information
Other players can see information intentionally displayed in the game, such as nation names, public chat, rankings and certain gameplay activity. Hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, app stores, fraud-prevention services and advertising partners may receive information where necessary for their services. We do not state that information is never shared: actual third-party SDKs and providers must be confirmed in the app’s platform disclosures.
Advertising, purchases and payouts
Rewarded advertising may be optional and may not be available on every platform or build. App-store and payment providers may process transaction information. Real-money prize payouts may require eligibility, anti-fraud and payment verification. Purchased credits and free credits are different game balances and may be subject to different game rules.
Retention and security
Information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including account operation, security, disputes and applicable legal or financial recordkeeping. Retention periods and deletion automation are under review and must be confirmed from the live systems. We use appropriate access controls and security measures, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and account deletion
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal information and may withdraw consent where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for lawful, security or dispute purposes; we will explain any applicable exception.
International services and children
Services and providers may operate in countries outside the UK; applicable transfer safeguards must be assessed for each provider. The intended audience for the current app-store release is adults aged 18 and over. The service is not intended for children.
